First off, I love this phone. I wouldnt trade this phone for anything.

But my whites and greys on my screen have a yellow colored tinge to it. I took the phone to verizon today, and they agreed that it looked different, but they couldnt do anything with it.

I even took a screenshot and emailed to my tablet and I could tell the problem was blatantly obvious.

So does anyone here know if there is someway to change the white balance on my screen?

Thanks for the help! I did search and couldnt find what I was looking for.

I just find it weird that verizon actually acknowledged that the screen looked off and yet did not swap it out for you. Not sure if there are any settings that can correct this, if not I would demand Verizon to swap it out for you

If its noticeable in the screen shots can you post them. When the brightness not at Max the whites look a bit off. What brightness you using.

See here. On the right it has a yellow tint and was about 25% brightness. On the left was 100%. You can see the difference on the white backgrounds.

wait, did they refuse further help or did you not request more help?

I went in yesterday, and the guy said to come back today. I had to talk to verizon's "device specialist" and even he saw what I was talking about. He called his boss and his boss said if they switch it out and the people in the service department dont notice it, I could get charged full price for the phone... They didnt offer any other help and I didnt know what else to do.

Why would you get charged for it? It's still under warranty and you didn't damage it -- did you?

No, I didnt damage it. They said when they send the phone in, they dont send a note saying whats wrong with it. So, If there is a chance that whoever gets the phone to check for issues dont see it, I could get charged... I know it sounds rediculous.. I agree its stupid

Yea new policy vzw sends your phone back and when its received they go through it. If they don't find any thing wrong or looks like you tampered with it they can charge your account full retail for the phone. Kinda sucks

Im sorry, I tried to post pics, but the camera I used stinks and you cant see the difference in color. The best way I can describe it is all of the whites look "off white" and the greys look yellowish.. The other colors are fine though.

I wonder if he just said that to cover his ass just in case. I once did a warranty exchange on a Droid X, but before the phone arrived my phone started working again. I called customer service and asked if it mattered which I sent back, and I was told that I could send back either the replacement phone or my old phone. It didn't matter either way to them so long as they received a phone back in its place.

Would it be possible to go through samsung with this? I had an issue with a moto droid I got off of ebay and verizon wouldnt help, but moto did...

I think if I did that, they would make me send it in and Id have to be phoneless for a bit though and I cant do that..

At dim levels the screen always looks off a bit. Nature of the new technology. As long as there isn't blotches or screen burned lines you are golden. I run the gnex @40% and it seems brilliant.

wow. that policy empowers vzw to abuse their customers based on incomplete or misinformation. imagine what kind of nightmare that would be and how terribly difficult it would be to even attempt to rectify it. bad deal. again. (don't get me started on my history with verizon).

Probably a stupid question but do you have a screen protector on it?

Anyways aren't we still in the return window? My first phone was rebooting itself and I returned it and they swapped it out. I did call first though and they said to take it to the store and have it swapped.
I can tell you that from that experience that the Verizon employees do not like to have to do it as if is a pain to do it or something.

Same here the screen has an amber tint to it compared to my Galaxy tab screen. If you look close at the picture you will see the more golden tint of the Nexus.

Crap I just noticed it on mine too. I compared it to my Xoom. It def has a yellow tint. Anyone have a screen that doesn't have the tint. Then il swap one out in hopes. But if there all like that then il settle
