My galaxy s6 has an unknown battery issue. Can anyone help me?

The phone will not even work unless plugged in and when plugged in it just has the battery icon at 50% and above it says "1min until fully charged" and within that time it reaches 100% but when I unplug it and plug it back in, it does the same thing. Holding down power and lower volume and rebooting into safe mode doesn't work as the phone just reaches the verizon logo, cuts off, and repeats the aforementioned process.

It sounds like the battery is failing. Bring it to a repair shop to replace the battery.
