my galaxy S9 won't pair nor connect at all with my 2015 Honda CRV.

I've tried all the recommended options for getting the phone and car to pair on bluetooth. nothing works. My phone pairs with my wireless headphones just fine.
I've tried even using the cable to connect the phone with the car, nothing.
What's the point of having the phone if it can't be paired with my car??
