My Gmail app said 'couldn't sign in'... Why???

My Gmail app in my phone didnt work. It keep saying 'couldn't sign in' and when i tried, it didn't work.. What should I do? Should I delete it and create new one using the old account? Or what?...

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Do other Google apps work fine (like Google Play Store, Google Calendar, etc.)? Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your account] -- does it show that everything is successfully synced?

Try going to Settings>Apps​, select Gmail, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then open it again and see what happens.

I use Samsung J2... I dont know when it happen but when I want to refresh my gmail app, it said couldnt sign in.. other google apps are okay.. okay i'll try it first..
