My GS3 lags

yeah its not a fault in how the phone is using its ram but to me its a fault in the phone with the firmware thats in it. a phone this expensive shouldnt have that bit of lag we'r experiencing. id say the hardware is being held back by the firmware though and once we get Jellybean, a few months of updates after that, the phone will probably be the smoothest piece of tech we've ever held

Fingers crossed. Been resisting returning it for a replacement due to the fuss involved but it gets really annoying. That said it's not doing it now!!

what does it get on Quadrant app m8?

download Quadrant and run a full test. total score on the GT should be around 52**
quadrant cant be taken seriously in comparing different models of phone but i find it a good way to make sure my phone is healthy

fs think this is the highest quadrant ive had and that was without rebooting or killing apps... seems like the s3 prefers to be under pressure.. if thats not evidence enough that task killers are no longer needed in android then i dont know what is lol

yeah man try that and maybe ul be able to work out where the problem is. i find that havin wifi switched on makes it lag a lot even though im connected to 3g.
im guessin by ur clock ur in the UK m8?

Yep in UK on Orange. I've tried everything I can think of to narrow it down. Was worse when I was in France on holiday, very poor WiFi and no 3g possibly related?! Who knows, thanks for help.

i honestly duno buddy lol. where in UK? am up in paisley. recently moved to the 3 ?15 unlimited data, 1000txt, 300min pre-pay deal from giffgaff. giffgaff is cheaper but 3 data speeds r like 2ce as fast where i am

I'm in Nottingham and use WiFi most of the time. 3G ok for what I need. You've got a good deal there tho!

lol well im gettin between 6-9 mb/s so its better than cheap home broadband lol computers hate me anyway, im better with android. the Mrs uses a laptop but just tethers it through her phone

ps say NO to contracts lol.. especialy here in UK. they want us to end up like north america, stuck in the subsidised handset rut. far better to buy the handset and use p+g sims then u can change to the best deal any month u want to
