my htc desire 510 screen is not responding. what do i do to fix it on my own?

I cracked my phone when i dropped it face down on concrete. The screen is badly cracked and it can on and off perfectly fine but I can't tap or swipe on my screen. I don't want to take it to a phone repair shop as it might cost more money than what I got it for. How do I fix it???????

You should get a new screen with the touch sensors built in. Which model was it? There are several guides to change the screen by yourself, but you would invalidate your warranty.
