My Internal USB storage is corrupted after multiple PIT applications, can I get some help?

Internal USB Storage corrupted after multiple PIT applications

Hi guys,

Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100

3.0.31-Jeeboo_Kernel_v1.2a+
JZO54K.I9100XWLSD

I mucked it up. After multiple attempts to reallocate my device memory into the internal USB storage with custom PITs via ODIN3 of versions 1.85 or 3.09, I was no longer able to mount my internal USB. It is detectable but neither mountable nor formattable in Windows 8.1 or Gpart.

This is the extent of the damage.

mmcblk1p1 is /emmc, which is also not mountable from CWM.

The strange thing is, after restoring my Backups, I am still able to boot into the phone, and it does everything normally other than accessing media storage (i.e. all functions that run through the USB storage are no longer working)

As can be seen, mmcblk1p1 does not even exist!


Where do I go from here in order to restore a usable internal USB storage?

OK I gave up. Went through the whole spiel with Heimdall and ADB Shell. After much exploration (my first time in a unix command line), I roughly understood the file systems, but was pretty much resigned that I could not create or mount emmc. And so I did a factory reset without restoring in CWM.

As I was resigned to my fate of losing my entire previous installation, during the reboot procedure, the phone FORMATTED the USB Storage!

I now had the usable modified partitions 6GB/6GB, and decided to try to restore onto the newly formatted partition.

Voila! All apps, data restored, partitions properly formatted and mounted. Hope this posts finds its way to the legions of frustrated.
