Android Central Question

I've had a google nexus 7 tablet for 4/3 years now (currently android vers. 6.0.1) and a few months ago the keyboard has been acting up.

When I type a letter on my keyboard for anything the letters around it (not all of them but atleast 1) are randomly selected too and I end up with something like: 'hberllkop' instead of 'hello'.
I've factory reset the tablet, changed the keyboard and cleared all the cache on both my gboard and SwiftKey. Nothing has worked and I can't find anyone else with the same problem, so does anyone know the solution or what's up with my tablet ?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a screen protector on? If so take it off and see if the problem persists. If you don't have a screen protector, try installing a touchscreen test app (like Touch Screen Test) and see if a single touch is registering in multiple places. If so, then the digitizer might be faulty, and would have to be replaced.
