my laptop doesnt read my phone,Moto M, after android N updation

i tried several times to connect my phone to my laptop,but i am continuously failing to do so. i was able to connect my phone ,moto M, to my lap before my android N updation.even if i change the option to share files from charging only ,it`s not reading.
