My Moto G (with Android 5.1) stopped reading my sim card. Is it time for a new phone?

My Moto G (with Android 5.1) stopped reading my sim card.

I didn´t drop it or anything. It just stopped, alone.
I put my sim card in another phone: it works.
I put somebody else´s sim card on my Moto G: doesn´t work.

Time for a new phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Possibly. First, try blowing out the SIM slot with a can of compressed air. If that doesn't help, then try Safe Mode: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/97327/p/30,6720,9050. If that doesn't work, try a factory reset. If it still doesn't work, get a new phone.
