My Motorola Xoom wifi screen is black, how can I fix it?

motorola xoom wifi screen is black

Motorola wifi mz604, the device will turn off and on, it charges fine, it connects to the computer through usb fine, the touch screen is even responsive as I was able to randomly tap on it to confirm shut down but the screen always remains black.
I have opened the unit and removed the battery, unhooked and reseated the lcd and tough screen cables.
any clue what might be the problem?

The LCD screen could be bad of the video processing portion on the board could be bad.
