My new Edge 6 is locked and I can't get in. How can I bypass the security code?

just got my new phone edge 6 galaxy phone is locked

I know the pass code i entered to unlock phone for some reason not working.

You may be able to reset it via Android Device Manager using your Google account.

Or a hard reset
Turn off the phone
Hold vol up +home+power button at once
When samsung logo appears let go of power button while holding rest two.
You'll entre recovery mode scroll down select wipe data factory reset... confirm and all done

This way you WILL lose all data on the phone. But phone will recover to brand new state.
So if u using this method i hope u have synced everything and got a backup of it some where.

i am not sure what you mean by locked. There are many different types of unlock modes on the phone. I managed to hit the fingerprint reader too many times while it was in my pocket. so it was forcing me to use my backup password. Which i couldnt remember. After entering your backup password incorrectly too many times i was able to log in with my google account. Try that before you erase your phone.

Yes, you should be allowed to use your Google account to unlock your phone.
