My Nexus 5x battery has drained completely and my phone is not charging anymore. Please help.

My Nexus 5x is 2 months old. The battery started draining faster than usual yesterday. It was some 10% when I plugged it to charge. The phone is not charging anymore. The charger is only giving my phone power at 0% charge. How do I fix this?
My camera also behaved oddly and stopped working. I put my phone inside a rice bag overnight, to sort moisture issues if any. In the morning, the camera was working fine. But the battery issue is still there.

Working phones shouldn't have these issues. Did you try a different charger and cable? Did you get the phone wet by chance? Might be a good time to effect a warranty claim.
