My Nexus 7 won't charge to 100%, just 97%

It just stops there. This is my second time charging it. (first time I only let it charge to 56%) What should I do? It's been at 97% for a while now. Thanks.
 
Try letting it run down low, then charging overnight with the tablet completely powered off.
 
factory charger? if not, use the factory charger. if "yes", try another high output charger. if it still fails to fully charge, reset it (I had to do that to my wife's n7 because it wouldn't go over 30-something ). if a reset doesn't fix it after all that, it's a bum battery.
 
I have read how Li batteries can sometimes lose their calibration, meaning the software that reads the battery charge gets out of whack. If this is the case, letting the battery run down to around 20% and then charging fully (while fully powered off) is supposed to help recalibrate it. You may have to do it a few times.
 
It's easiest to fully drain it by running the Nexus until it powers off from low battery. Then fully charge it up.
