My Nexus 7 won't download books using Overdrive

[AC Question]

My tablet is saying "Cannot write to file storage...(storage/emulated/0/Android/data.com.overdrive.mobile.android...) .Please ensure that the device is not connected to a computer and verify your storage selection in Settings".
I have tried to clear some files from storage but I am not good at this either. I have downloaded books through Overdrive, Amazon and Indigo-chapters in the past. Never any problems. Now it will not download my library book through overdrive.
Thanks for any help you can provide because my next solution will be to buy a new tablet.

I just fixed this problem on a Kindle Fire by clearing the Overdrive app data, uninstalling & then reinstalling. Once we signed back into the Overdrive app & the library catalog, all currently checked out books could be downloaded & opened.

After way too much trying this and trying that I finally found the answer--just had to update my Overdrive and updated everything else at the same time.
