As you may have seen, I had a HORRIBLE S7. With some advice here and my own research I decided on a Nokia 7.1. I leaned towards Nokia because I loved my Win Phones, they use Stock Android, and the screen and body size were close to what I wanted.
It has been great! I restored a backup which got me mostly to set up. I finished the details and have been using it. It is so fast, it makes my S7 seem lobotomized. It's a rocket!! The screen is nice, but a bit tall for my short, fat fingers. The fingerprint sensor on the back is lightning fast. The new Android 10 is good but I miss a few things. I liked the back button being under my thumb instead of on the left, and it won't just unlock when you hit the right PIN, you have to hit the "go" button. Mostly it's all good for me!! Also, the battery life is fantastic!!! I'll attach a screenshot.
I can't imagine what a $1000 Samsung does that this $200 phone doesn't but if people know, I'd like to hear about those features.
