My note 4 ir led is not working

My note 4 ir led stopped working a month ago..first it did not work and then started working after a few minutes now since 1 month it is completely dead...i have checked dialing *#0*# and it does not blink...my front camera and proximity/light sensors are working..is there a software issue or a hardware issue?

And how can i fix it?

It's a software problem in all variants of this device the IR is dying, no exist a way to fix it in this time
