When I receive a phone call now I have to drag my finger on the accept or decline button where before all I had to do is touch the button either way. I'd like to know what I can do to get it back to the way it was before.

my s9 did the same thing but I'd had to set it that way before the update. I just didn't bother this time

Accessibility >interaction and dexterity assistant menu toggle on , once you to the home screen it will show assistant chat like bubble just grab and drag to the top where a X will be to get rid of it

My phone got same problem after update today
Moving the buble around not relevant to swipe topic
Samsung has made phone hard to use for handicapped people and accessibility menu mow refers to device people can buy to control phone.

"Moving bubble around not relevant to topic" :)
I guess you didn't understand what I'm saying.
In accessibility settings when you enable one touch instead of swipe ,it will leave a assistant floating app and to get rid of it to drag to the top and a X will appear to drop it , unless you like a floating accessibility icon floating around :)

Getting rid of the floating icon is not that simple and it comes back after a reboot. Here is a screen shot of the process from an S8 thread. Screenshot_20190626-062204.jpeg

actually I found better solution, I was thinking my s10+ before .
in the note 9
go to accesbilty 3 dots upper right corner turn of status notifications and turn one touch on , that's all very simple

Turning off the "show notifications" only takes it out of the drop down bar, it doesn't keep the floating widget from showing up.

I have to kill the floating widget in apps by doing a force stop on accessibility after a restart. It stays gone until the next restart.

Note 9 is different don't have floating widget, s10 does

Edit: unless you turn on assistant menu which u dont have to.

To get the tap to answer, you have to turn on the assistant widget. I have not found another way yet on the Note 9. I am on a VZW Note 9.

Maybe from Verizon version, it's separate from assistant widget.

I thought Samsung pushed the same build to all the Carriers. I am on CSE5.

If I flashed the AT&T is it possible to get the tap to answer back in the Interaction and Dexterity menu under Answer Phone?

If you flash Att firmware your sim card will dictate what gets installed

If you want the unlocked rom then your sim dont dictate what goes on20190626_194327.jpeg

The OP was asking about the tap to answer option. You circled the easy on screen option that turns on the screen. That doesn't do the tap to answer.

I have those same options.

It's in assistant menu , that's why I said scratch the 2nd circle

Right, but turning that on gets the floating menu, I was calling it a widget, sorry.
