Used this method for my Galaxy Note 4 Sprint version to try & root
https://androidmtk.com/root-samsung-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910p-sprint

Downloaded everything, started it up & followed the instructions & got a FAIL message on ODIN & my phone just hanged on the downloading process & no other option!

I had to unplug & turned off my phone, now when I turn on my phone I get this message
"firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in kies & try again".

I can't even get to the home screen or retry rooting it.

HELP Any step by step instructions on how to fix this, including working links?

All the tutorial weblinks have outdated info & referral links & dead links.
There are two youtube videos for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfgq6bYfKLg
This doesn't link where they got the Samsung recovery file

This video is very hard to understand what he is saying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th2Jy9QXhxo
Something about downloading KIES or something.

The only link I could find for getting Samsung KIES is dead & redirects to another page.

Where do I get the copy of the stock ROM? That link doesn't provide any info on getting the correct files.
One of the videos I posted said to get the Samsung Recovery file, but WHERE?
Go to Sammobile, enter your model number. Be sure to download/use only the correct firmware for your country/carrier.

You should also be able to get the firmware from Youmobile, as well as Kies. Read the page.

What the heck?
The download for the Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910P)-(6.0.1)- U.S (Spint) firmware is a whopping 2.06 GB & it won't let me download unless I buy an account from the download service.

That can't be right, can it?

EDIT: Sammobile is letting me download it without paying money.
It's going to take a while to finish downloading, hope it doesn't gt corrupted in the process.

Thanks nahoku & Rukbat, I got it to flash back to normal again.
Download was long, but everything else went smoothly.

I assume I downloaded a corrupt or even maybe maleware version of the root file when I first tried to root my phone.
Any trusted sources to download from?
