Phone stuck in error mode while trying to downgrade to Android 11

I have a Galaxy A21, and after I finally got Android 12 I noticed many of the daily tasks I used to do with Android 11 were now very slow and the overall performance of the phone lagged. I got tired of this and attempted to downgrade to Android 11.

Following instructions I found on Google I installed ODIN, downloaded the Android 11 file for my exact phone off the SamMobile website and began the process. Three times now it has FAILED! Each time I get the error message 'An error has occurred while updating the device. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software'.

So I got the Smart switch software and followed the instructions for using that, and each time I got 'this model does not support firmware upgrades and initialization'. I have a StraightTalk model of the phone, so I don't know if that has anything to do with this or not. Now my phone is stuck on the 'An error has occurred while updating the device' screen and I'm starting to worry I've bricked it.

Can anyone here help me out with this?

Thank you

UPDATE: I had a brainstorm this morning. I thought maybe going back to Android 12 would work, so I downloaded the Android 12 files for my phone and used ODIN to flash it and it was successful. I guess maybe because of the model phone I have it's not possible to downgrade?
