Android Central Question

I have a nokia 5 and i formatted my sd card as an internal storage and it was working fine for a few years but suddenly i cant do anything to change its content. Some of my apps have also completely stopped working, some file managing apps cant access the storage but others can. I wiped the cache from recovery mode, nothing. i tried to restart, unmount/mount, nothing. i connected it to a pc and tried to delete/ move from there. it worked in the pc but the files are still in my phone and i can view them full hd. i havent tried the check for corruption yet since i dont have a sd card adapter, but i will soon. So, is there anything else that i cant try rather than formatting?

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, I would suspect that the SD card failed -- this is always a significant risk with SD cards, because the chips they use are typically lower quality than those soldered onto boards (even from well-known companies like Sandisk). Also remember that SD cards have a finite read-write cycle lifespan, so after a certain number of read-writes, the chance of failure goes way up -- this is another reason why using SD cards to function as the phone's internal storage is not a great idea.

Unfortunately, the data on the card is probably unrecoverable, especially since it was formatted as Internal Storage (which means it's encrypted, and the only encryption key is on the phone that formatted it).

heyyy can you please

Hi! I just bought this SD card online and after around 2 days a notification that says "Can't write to SD card" appeared. Because of that I can't delete or move files into the SD card. I tried formatting the SD card hoping that it would be fine but the notification still appears afterwards. I unmounted my SD card for a month and thought that it should rest and I inserted it just yesterday. I thought it would be fine now but the notification still appears. What do I do? I don't want my money to be wasted just like that. btw, its a San Disk SD Card with 64 gb capacity and my phone is Samsung Galaxy A10s. pleasee helppp!

Update 13 min after: I turned off my phone, unmounted the SD card, and inserted it again. As I turned on my phone the SD card is now "not inserted" on My Files and I looked up to my settings and found that SD card is "corrupted" what do I do with this?
