My phone, Samsung j3, is making a weird noice and keeps saying "the dock is connected". Why?

The phone is 1 year and 4 months old, bought first hand, this has happened twice, regardless of the internet being turned off or on.

Check the charging port for dirt. Has it ever gotten wet - even been out in the rain? If a drop of water got into the charging port, that could cause it. Or the charging port could be broken.
