My rear camera is not working

My Huawei P Smart's rear camera has suddenly stopped working? I do have the option to switch cameras but if I switch it to the rear camera it either freezes on a black screen, or it glitches then eventually kicks me out of the camera app. I've tried a factory reset but it didn't work. Any suggestions?
