My reasons to go with G5 over S7edge

because like most normal humans I put on a ******* case on it.

I'm not sure how true that is. Of my 6 phones since the OG Droid, I've only put a case on one of them; my Galaxy Nexus. And that was only because the curve of the back of the phone made it want to slip out of my hand when I tried to hold it tight. Of those six, I've only broken the screen on one of them, my Thunderbolt, but I believe that was before Gorilla Glass. I've dropped the other ones a few times, but haven't broken the glass.

Well me and you are not regular use cases, namely because we know android central forums exist, we root phones and have different expectations of phones. My post was more in general, I would like to see reviews of phones in cases, maybe a choice of case from the reviewer.I work in a restaurant, I can tell you normal people use cases almost universally. People without a case are far and between. To that point I have never seen anyone to a s6 or s7, or note 5, without a case because of the glass back. Iphone without a case is very very rare. People don't care about antenna lines, glass or metal back or seams to take out the battery. The phones look like this for at most 2 days until amazon delivers their case.

For me it was $780 vs $630. I did not feel the $150 was justified for my use case.

Some things that interest me on this phone (as use them more as a mobile entertainment device, than anything else (rarely used as a phone)).

Pro:
1) Slimport supported (really important for me)
2) Audi 24bit/192hz audio
3) New Bluetooth aptX HD audio codec
4) Like the wide 135° FoV

Cons:
1) LG shuns Adoptable Storage
2) Camera Movie sucks, still got LG audio noise canceling
