As most of you know, I've been having some major issues with getting a custom ROM to flash on my phone. I wanted to use the f1n1sh3r ROM cause I liked the look and the apps that came with it seemed right for me. I have been getting a boot loop for the longest time. I even tried to flash the DamageControl ROM but that wouldn't go past the white HTC EVO screen.

I decided, just for fun, that I was going to try the FrEak_E_Evo_3.0 ROM and it definitely worked!!

You need to Wipe everything man

Wipe Data/Cache

wipe Cache

Go into advances and wipe Dalvik

Try again...

I remember you said that last time and it stuck in my head. I've been doing that (maybe even twice each time) and the other two didn't work. I'm happy with what I have flashed now so I'm gonna stick with this for a bit.

Try Flashing Amon RA thru Rom manager...

sometimes clockwork has issues with Wiping Data...

Beware Amon does not Recover Nands made by clockwork so make sure to Back up thru that

And the Rom needs to be on the rom of your SD in Amon RA

After you flash just flash back to clock work and make a back up...

Hey, d3xn2o.. with the news of the HTC version of froyo possibly coming out tomorrow.. since i've rooted with Unrevoked3.. i wouldn't be able to apply that update without screwing something up right?

Given the way the last update went I would say...not yet...but I'm sure they will update unrevoked to work with the new update, just a matter of time.

But you could always do a "real" root and flash a rooted ROM when they become available. That's what I'm gonna do.

You are correct you will lose Root... this is my belief... Wait for the Devs to Release a proper Root Rom it should only be a few Days...

Toast myself and a few others are throwing around the idea of a 2.2 Rom also so just hang in there dont Update till the Roms are out...
