My S10 display looks washed out and dull.

It feels like my phone is on 480p when watching videos to best explain it. I'm going to compare my phone to a retail store and see if all phones are like this

I noticed this, too. It's terrible. You Tube videos (at 720p) that looked good on my old Note 3, look inferior on the s10. Plus, the infamous camera hole cut-out is an eyesore and doesn't allow for Instagram story videos or pics to be seen full-screen, like on my Note 3. I've decided I'm going to see if I can trade it for a Note 9. I'm not interested in the Note 10 because I fear it will have the same "natural" display as this s10.

I might've come to find a solution.
Just go to your blue light filter, activate it and pull the slider all the way to the left.
My colors are looking just perfect now.

Ps: I'm also a photographer and it was bugging me to have these washed out colors. I thought I was come to find an answer in a forum but I might be the one who brings the answer lol

I think you're confused about what washed out means.

Just picked up my Galaxy s10 and spent a few days on it, however I believe I might have a problem. The colors on my display especially when on a white screen are dull and look washed out and this is with my settings on vivid. I even compared videos side by side with my Galaxy s8 and you can tell a big difference. My old s8 colors are vibrant and colorful while my s10 are greyed out and a little blurry. Anybody else having similar issues.

Hi, I too had the same problem and ended up resetting the phone and one by one changing settings that I had it set at previously. Sure the problem came when it was on dark mode so I don't use this particular mode any longer. Hope this is what you mean by colours looking dull

i have same problem in s9 just after 1 year warranty ended.
s9 screen quality is really bad while my older s7's screen is still good.

how dumb was the earlier discussion.. the washed out display clearly due to hardware or firmware. not that u can just adjust the setting.

im sending my s10e for warranty.

Everything everyone is saying is absolutely true it looks washed. Today omg I've been on the phone with Samsung and that was definitely a waste of time. I've had the s8 for over two years now and i had just got into the one plus 8 i didn't like it color was washed up no adaptive display nothing so i got the s10 thinking i would be better off but came to find out it was washed out also. I talk to samsung for about 2 hours they have no idea how to help me so i went to my closest tmobile store and no help there. At the tmobile phone i compare and found out the s20 ultra does the samething so . I check to find out which phone might not have that washed out display and i think it can be the one plus 7 5g
McClaren so i might jump on that because Samsung on bull**** right now

i sent my device to service centre, only took them 10 minutes to check that its a faulty screen, straight away change it for free since its under warranty, those user who experience washed out display dont be so ***** to say its can be fixed by setting or software.
