My S6 edge + plus has started to drain battery quickly

Hello am new to the forum. I acquired the phone in Dec 2016 and until 3 days ago the phone was doing fairly fine with a full charge lasting at least 24hrs. Suddenly, battery drain was on overdrive. For example, just charged today and without any activity the battery was at 95% in about 10 min. I have also realized in the last 3 days that when the battery is 100% full the charging led light continues to be red instead of turning green. Kindly advise

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.
