My Samsung Galaxy Core Prime won't charge. How do i fix it??

My Phone went flat about 1-2 hours ago. I put it on its original charger and it doesn't seem to be charging. I can't pull the back off either to check the battery. Please help!! I need it urgently!!

Did you use it until it had fully discharged?
Or did the phone suddenly power off while there was still battery charge showing in the status bar?

***I'll just add the warning that recharging a truly fully discharged battery can be explosively dangerous, although batteries are normally unlikely to reach that state.
