My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 finger print scanner has just stopped. And of cause I've tried every pass word I can. Is there anyway I can get it working without having to boot (and loose everything). Also do this phone have an SD card.

Welcome to Android Central! Power off, and then try booting in to Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28897. If the problem persists, see if wiping the cache partition helps: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28932
If that doesn't help, and if you forgot your backup password (which is really important to remember because of this very problem), then you might be stuck. You could see if Find My Mobile will let you remotely change the password: https://findmymobile.samsung.com/
