Android Central Question

I have a Ford Focus 2015 with the SYNC system and I was using my S10+ daily over media bluetoohth, but when I was driving yesterday I used the "OK Google" command while connected and listening to music and it messed everything up, now when I connect to my car I can connect for calls but when I turn on the audio button, it says it is on with call and audio but as soon as I try to play something (from any app) the audio connection turns off and plays the audio through my phone speakers, almost as if it is prioritizing the phone speakers.

I have tried several times to re-pair the bluetooth connection
I have tried to restart the phone before re-pairing
I have also tried a factory reset on my cars SYNC OS and then tried re-pairing
All to no avail, I'm pretty certain this is a problem on my phone and just want it to be fixed. Please help

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone also connected to any other nearby Bluetooth devices, like headphones?
