My Samsung Galaxy S5 stopped syncing with my desktop. Any suggestions?

My S5 recently stopped syncing my email. I have tried just about everything including checking latest update after connection to my pc with usb which tells me that I have the latest driver installed. Any new suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My phone has Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system if that helps.

Welcome to Android Central! Which email app, and which email account? Did you already try removing the account from the email app, then adding it back again?

Also - is there any reason why you have decided not to update to 6.01 Marshmallow? KitKat is several years old now, and is no longer receiving any sort of security updates.
