I had the same problem. All I had to do was remove the little mesh screen, clean, and replace it. Good as new

Dude thanks!!!! I just left the screen out cause I don't care what happens to them at this point but instantly fixed it!!!! I think it's an issue of it somehow getting clogged/plugged up, there for not allowing sound, or really even air out (in my case it would cause pressure and be hard to take out of my ear as well) of the ear bud.

This is definitely the fix.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem and cleaning the earbuds and blasting loud music from them did nothing. For the record, I used my PC jack to listen to music on them and the sound difference is still there.

Just leave the screen out and try it that way. Make sure nothing is down in the hole too

I've bought my Samsung Galaxy S8 when it was released and it came with a pare of AKG headphones. After some time, I realised that the right earphone is much lower than the left one.

*SOLVED!!* yea so this might seem a bit sketchy.. it did to me but i got it back to normal volume.. if u remove the plastic part u will see a shiny gage which blocks like dust and wax on other debris from getting in there are like 2 to 3 layes which can be seperated.. just remove that and ur good to go.. just be gentle.. use like a needle or hairpin.. sumn small that can get the job done.. if its too loud u can put back one of the pieces on.. good luck

I found the solution

There’s nothing wrong with the earphone itself. I played about and realised that the earphone jack is the issue, it’s not cleaned properly. Try get pressurised air in a can and blow out the debris or just clean the jack, I found that this fixed the issue for me.

Cleaning mesh screen with wipe really helped. Day my headphone started acting up, same day I used ear drops which caused blockage. Wiping screen mesh and reinstalled same screen - earphone working fine now. Thanks again.

You must remove the silver screen like thing in which ever one is not loud like the other one is! I had 2 sets of akg, an both had one earbud go lower volume than other. I removed that silver screen like thing an bammmm, they work like new
