My samsung galaxy y showing problem regarding 4gb sd card?

i was having 2gb sd card in my galaxy y phone.. i transfered its all data in my PC and bought a 4gb sd card... then i transfered all data of earlier sd card from PC to new 4gb card... but my phone showing sd card damaged..while its working alright in other phones and also working when am mounting it empty on my phone.. plz guys suggest me whats d problem... i have also formated it via phone and then transferd data from pc with cardreader but still showing sd card damaged... :....:-\
