My Samsung S8 started switching contact names

[Android Central Question]

Very odd, yesterday my Sumsung switched a contact name on one of my entries (at least only noticed one so far). I edited the entry back to the name and lost the previous contact name. As soon as I hit save the name again switched to a different contact that was already in my phone. I restarted the phone at that pt hoping it would fix itself. One other thing I noticed is the phone lock didnt seem to activate during that time. before and after restart. This morning it does. Seems like I have to delete the whole contact record to fix.
