AC Question

The SanDisk Ultra Plus 32 GB micro sd card in newly bought for my ZTE Legacy N817 is showing that it works and is available according to my phone yet it won't let me move my apps from phone storage to the sd card. I have a 64 GB same brand and quality and worked well in my other phone despite it showing the outer signs of being a fake card. I downloaded a sd reader and it read my disk as a sanDisk Micro SD 32 GB card. The cards in my cpu now seeing if it can read it and it does read the e drive but what do I do?

Putting apps on sd cards is unrewarding, only a small part of the app itself is actually on the card, the guts of it stays in the device, leading to fragmentation and unreliability. And if the card gets corrupted, you have apps that won't work. You only save a minuscule amount of memory in any case. You're best leaving apps on device and moving files like pics and videos.. (and periodically backing them up elsewhere) :-)

Welcome to Android Central! Apart from Tim1954's analysis, it's also important to remember that some devices don't support moving apps to SD in the first place.

If you're concerned that the card might be fake, then run SD Insight.
