my screen just turned white , when i was using the phone why did this happen ?

my nexus is fully stock. i got it from the US play store and i now live in india. when the white screen appeared i somehow managed to reboot and reset my factory settings. and now it seems to be working fine and my nexus is running on android l which i updated to a few days back but what should i do if it occurs again ? someone please help

Welcome to Android Central! When it happened the first time, were you able to force a power down by pressing and holding Power for about 10-15 seconds? Try that next time, then power up again and see if it works. It's difficult to say if the white screen was due to some firmware glitch, or perhaps some 3rd party app you installed that made the system unstable.
