My SD Card has missing files, how can I get my file on there?

SD Card - missing files

HTC One M8. I have loads of problems with corrupting and missing files. I copy a video to SD card, works then doesn't work. I copy music in folders, some folders copy across with files, some appear to be not there when I browse the SD card through the phone but when I browse the SD card from PC they are ALL there and they play!

Really tearing my hair out here. Doesn't seem to be a phone problem in that same problems using a small Android tablet.

I can copy a video across using a card reader, verify and it works. Put it in phone and doesn't work, take out put back into the card reader and it wont play.

Also I could copy 2 files across of exact same container, codec etc. 1 will work the other wont!

Welcome to Android Central! The card itself might be bad--have you tried using a different card?

Use SD Insight to see if the card is counterfeit. You can also use chkdsk to look for bad sectors: unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and plug it into your computer, then run chkdsk. http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html
