My Seidio EVO 3D Surface Case Review

The Seidio Surface case is one of the better slim cases for the Evo 3D. I was looking for scratch protection, screen protection(lip), light drop/impact protection and camera protection (it protrudes), but i I didn't want a bulky case because I like to enjoy my devices and didn't want a case taking away from the experience.

The Surface case delivers on all my needs. It's very slim and snaps together in about 10 seconds and so far has been very secure.It looks great and highlights the red camera accent around back while keeping the lens off your desk. It has a nice matte look and feels almost velvety. It's not as grippy as I would have liked but it still feels secure in the hand. All the buttons are accessible and nothing is obstructed.

Overall I would recommend the Surface for anyone needing day to day protection and for people on the fence about getting a case. It doesn't add any bulk at all and gives the device a better feel and will definitely protect it from light falls and scratches.

I just bought basically the same case except with a kickstand and I have to say I love it! I paired it with the HTC oem hip case cause I'm definitely not a pocketer. I was concerned about it staying together being its two pieces but it seems to be a snug fit.

I'm also not a pocketer, though I've been forced to do so until my Spring Clip holster arrives.

What case are you referring to? Not familiar with one like the surface that has a kickstand.

They sell it at best buy It's under the name platinum but It's a sedio. It looks exactly like the surface case it just has a kickstand built in.

Best Buy's platinum has both a kickstand and non kickstand version. I found the kickstand worthless. If you go with this, I'm for the one without.

I may go to this just because the bulk of the active/cruiser is starting to get to me, heh

@linh.nguyen, I wanted to get the non kickstand version but they didn't have it in black. I gotta say I don't use it much but there are times I find it pretty useful. The only problem I find with the case is It's a pain to remove, once It's on its not coming off easily.

pinch the sides on the bottom piece near the seam, then push down on the middle of the top piece at the seam (or where ever the instructions say, can't recall exactly). I was struggling for a bit when I was removing it to return it, heh

here's the PT one w/ kickstand at best buy.. I wanted to go with the one without but they only had it in white. I really didn't feel like leaving my E3D unprotected so I went with the kickstand version.

Just got my spring clip holster. Couldnt be happier with the combo!
