My Sim card is detected but I still have no service, what could be wrong?

Sim card detected - still no service

I have an ATT Samsung Galaxy Mega i527, when I put my sim card in i get the circle with the line through it and i am unable to make phone calls, use data, and it says mobile network not available. I can connect to Wifi no problem. When i take the sim card out i can get 4 bars but only make emergency calls. The IMEI is good, running 4.4.2, tried the sim in another phone and it works fine. I don't get the "no sim detected" error it just doesn't have service.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Everything works in My phone except for the sim card. I have even reset the phone to factory defaults. Nothing worked so far.

If its show not network on Samsung there is problem with 4G

In my case, I know my tray isn't dirty and though the SIM isn't recognized after I removed and returned the tray and it's saying the sd card isn't no longer, either. When I go to the phone settings, it is showing the sd card as being in the phone.

I recently had a problem with my Android, Asus Zen dual sim card.
It happened twice when the mobile turned off because of no battery, when restarted, it could not find the network (for one sim only) but it could detect the sim.
Last time I get a Sim replacement. Today I had the same problem, but I solved it going to Settings - Back up and reset - Network setting reset .. Solved.

I have a same issue with my HTC Butterfly 3 (aka htv31) with the Android ver.6.0.1. I tried all options given above. But this issue didn't get solved. I bought and using this phone in Pakistan with the preferred network MOBILINK JAZZ. I tried many other network Sims too. But results were same. But 1 different phenomena I have witnessed many times. When I was traveling anywhere, during that period sim works properly, but not when reached somewhere, neither Inside building nor out. Only on move. Though, phone antenna is OK and working properly. Still the problem is same. Will I consider it as a manufacturing fault or what. If not then how can I fix it..
Any suggestion please..
