Hello guys!

First and foremost, I'm new to the forum as well as an Android noob (switched from Iphone 5 half a year ago). I have never rooted my phone nor have I flashed a custom ROM before. I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself. I've emailed HTC support and hope to hear from them soon, but I figured why not ask ask a respected forum as well. I've read up on similar issues from other people, but it seems none of their solutions work for me as I cannot access recovery or even do a hard reset! Any help is appreciated! I want to be able to use my phone ASAP!

Can u get on a computer and go to HTC support online chat? They are super helpful. I learned through them that if you push on the power button and volume up, it reboots the phone. Then as soon as it hits the black screen, if you push volume down, it will go to a screen that will allow you to clear the cache and start up again. But do the online chat support.

I have tried it but I waited for half an hour with no response, so I decided to email them instead. Will try online chat again later though. The problem is, I can't clear the cache because I can't boot to recovery :c

An update for all those who might have the same problem. I've successfully contacted HTC live chat support and have found out that my device is defective. I have no idea what the cause might be, or if there is even a solution to fix it yourself. I will be receiving a replacement device in two days thanks to HTC's wonderful customer support and exchange program. Thanks to all who provided input!
