My thoughts after having the Vivid for around 12 hours.

what is sense??????????

Sense (or Sense UI) is HTC's overlay for Android. More than just a skin or theme, each OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer ie HTC or Motorola) has their own unique look and feel for Android. Samsung has Touch Wiz, Motorola has Motoblur (though the yare moving away from that name). Basically everything you see on the phone other than the downloaded and a few Google apps are Sense.

The phone is awesome. The battery is A LOT better than the inspire. The phone works very smoothly when transitioning especially on Sense 3.0. All in all the phone is worth it. If you are stuck between choosing the SR or the Vivid take my advice (and others here) and get the Vivid. Its worth it.

Mostly cosmetic things actually. Comparing this to the Rezound (3.5) the only real thing that I notice is support for htesense.com which the Rezound lacks but I think that as a Verizon choice not a difference between 3.0 and 3.5,

Short of a developer dissecting a system dump from both phones there is really no way to tell but if there is a difference I don't think it is much. The two look very close to eachother

Checked out a Rezound today and there are a few cosmetic differences. Thats about it. Scrolling seemed a little faster compared to my Vivid.

Thanks for the all the info, I aam dropping from blackberry and this will be my next device.
