My Yahoo notification sound not working properly since last update

After performing the latest LG G6 security update my Yahoo notification sound will try and play for every message received, instead of just once, when I receive multiple messages at one time.

Ok -- and are you saying that when you get multiple emails at the same time, you hear the notification tone multiple times?

Just the beginning of it, but yes. Before the update , if I got multiple messages at once, it would play just once. Because of what the sound is, I hear a bunch of arrows shot and then the last one play all the way through. It is very annoying.

Try going to Settings>Apps, selecting Yahoo Mail, then clearing cache/data. Then open it again and log back in. Does the problem persist?
