I did an HTCDev unlock and flashed Myn's Warm TwoPointThree. If I try and open up the WiFi Tether app I get a message with the heading that says "Not Root" and a message that reads "Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application." Is the kernel that came with the ROM faulty or do I have to flash a different kernel? Also while I'm at it, does anyone know if the Wifi Hotspot is really unlocked and free. The changelog says it is buy I'm a little scepticle, mainly because of the Wifi Tether app that is also included in the ROM.

Did you flash the kernel? With the HTC unlock method you have to flash the kernel separately.

is there a specific kernel for this ROM that I need to download from HTC? I didn't download any kernels I just unlocked the bootloader, I guess I was under the impression that the ROM came with the kernel. Either way I wonder why the messge "No Root" also appears.

currently my kernel says 2.6.38.6-AntraX-CDMA-SENSE

It appears you have the right kernel, Did you flash the kernel prior with fastboot or a flash tool prior to flashing the rom?.You may need to flash the kernel again

If I try and open up ROM Manager it say "your must root your phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found at "/system/bin/su" or "/system/xbin/su". Alright so I unlocked through HTCDEV. Then through the command window on my pc I was able to open into recovery and flash this ROM. So did this process no give me root? If not how then? I thought you had to be rooted in order to be able to flash ROMs.

you need to install superuser, you can get from the market

Thank Me If I Helped

The ROM comes pre-installed with superuser, however, I was able to find that what I needed was the binary code. I flashed 2.3.2-efgh and it worked. The phone says I now have root. NOW, lol, I run the superuser app and try updated the binary code and but if fails to do so. It says I should update to 3.0.3.2. Does it even matter what version I have? Really I just want to stay as updated as possible. So if anyone knows where I can find a link to that version please let me know.

apparently there is still a 3.0.3.2 version but I guess this one will due. thank benny3.

if you open your market tap settings then my apps it should show you all your apps and if they have updates for them.scroll through the list.
you can also go into the superuser app go to settings/preference scroll down to the su binary and tap it. it should do a scan and have a update button at the bottom

I have all my apps. they all work. I just wanted to newest binary code because when I tried updated through superuser app it told me there was a newer binary code but then when I hit updated it always failed. This happened with the older su I had and still happens with the one you provided here. However, ever since I installed the one you gave me I no longer get an error code 34 for my sms. I don't know if installing a newer su had anything to do with it but for right now I would have to assume that as I no longer get that message and all my text are going through,

I think I am going to have to revert to the old version of the superuser because this one now will not grant my apps access.

The su zip i posted has the latest binary im not sure why it didnt update for you
