My co-worker has the Pixel 3 running Android 10. He could not connect to my Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. So, yes stock Android does not support Miracast out of the box. The APIs are still there though for OEMs to enable it.
Ultimately, the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter DOES work with the Note 10+ as I had stated several times. Which what we were talking about before getting side tracked.
gernerttl, I know I screen-casted from my old Note 8 to a couple of my Samsung TVs in the past, but where is the setting for screen-casting on the Note 10+ running Android 9? I've got a Verizon version, and I'll be damned if I can find it to turn it on.
On my unlocked model I use Smart View in the quick settings.
Aaaahhh, there it is. Seems it's called something different with every new Samsung device. Thanks!
It's called Smart View. The Note 8 had the same thing with Android 9.gernerttl, I know I screen-casted from my old Note 8 to a couple of my Samsung TVs in the past, but where is the setting for screen-casting on the Note 10+ running Android 9? I believe it was called Screen Mirror in Android 8.Aaaahhh, there it is. Seems it's called something different with every new Samsung device. Thanks!
Then why doesn't Microsoft list it as incompatible? It's a Microsoft product not an Amazon product.
Also, I KNOW for a fact that it works with the Note 10+. Or did you not read that I've used it several times with my Note 10+?
Here is the compatibility list from Microsoft.
