N3 shutting down

Today my daughter installed PvZ2 on my N3, after about 10 minutes of playing the phone shut down. We waited a few minutes and we're able to restart it. Then again it shut down but this time it took longer for us to be able to turn it back on.

The N3 is in an otters defender case, and the battery was at around 70%.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it.

I just noticed the thread title was auto corrected, it should have read as N3 shutting down.

Was the phone heating up excessively prior to shutdown? Does it shut down suddenly if you're not playing that game?

No, but it was a little bit warm, and no its never shut down before this unless the battery was dead.

Check the reviews on Google Play to see if others are experiencing similar issues. Also, try emailing the developer--you can find the address on the Google Play app page as well.

I can tell you that Family Guy: Quest for Stuff frequently quits on its own on my Nexus 7, without any warning or error message, so some issue with the app could always be the problem.
