My vibration is WEAK...like REALLY weak. I have not once felt it vibrate in my pocket, barely notice it vibrate on my desk when a text comes in (had to double check it was even set to vibrate). And my alarm is so quiet on my nightstand it failed to wake me up that last two days (thankfully i woke up shortly after anyway).

Anybody else have this issue?

IB4 Vibrator jokes....

Yeah the vibrate does seem a bit weak to me as well. As for the volume I find laying the phone face down greatly increases the sound coming from the speaker

Sent from my Nexus 4

With the MT4G I used to be able to hear it vibrate on the counter over the actual notification tone. Plus I had to put it on a pillow on the nightstand to quiet it down when the alarm went off. Maybe I'm just used to a super vibe. Bugs the crap outta me though. Any way to turn it up?

I am also coming from the MT4G and the vibrate does seem very weak on the N4 compared to our old phones. There is no way to "turn up" the vibrate as far as I know since all the software does is either switch it on or off. But the N4 does compensate for having a crazy loud speaker which actually vibrates the phone on full volume. Higher frequency tones REALLY blast out and WILL wake you up. This coming from the guy who slept through two alarms on the MT4G with those infamous "beeps" tones playing on full. Also, make sure your alarm volume is all the way up since it is a separate setting other than your media volume and your ringtone. I noticed this when I was previewing the different alarm sounds.

That's one of the problems. I had my phone on silent/vibrate as to not wake my wife and sleeping baby. Can't just go blasting my alarm. Guess I'll just have to turn the volume on super low. COMPLETELY missed the alarm this am.

I have been using "Vibrate Tool" on my N1 for years but not got round to installing on the N4 yet. Works a treat and you can record your own vibes, so to speak.

Search the PS for "Vibrate Tool" or "Vibration Apps" there's quite a few out there and I guess they all add extra enhancement to the vibrate experience!

Trying out "Vibrate Tools." It doesn't let you adjust the "strength" of the vibe, but at least the randomness/pattern should help it be more noticeable. We'll see. Thanks!

Speaking of recording you own vibrate, why don't you do just that? Set the alarm volume to an appropriate setting while using various recorded vibrate sounds. Hell, even record the MT4G vibration and see how that works. Don't know how effective it is, but you'll be used to the sound and it's not annoying enough to wake everyone up.
