Hi
Need to retire my N5 at some point soon and just wondering if anyone moved from original N5 to the X?
If so what are your thoughts on:
- Build quality comparisons
- Camera quality
- Battery life
- Any OS lag based on 2gb RAM
- Screen quality comparison
- Size comparison, ie easy to use one handed etc

Thanks in advance.

A decent review. Just looking for two users opinions too.
Anyone done the upgrade?

Huge jump in battery for me. With average use my Nexus 5 would have a hard time making it home from work with more than 30-40% battery mainly because I never got great reception at work. Nexus 5x is insanely better for me in that regard. Plus obviously the camera is a huge upgrade as well.

I was thinking about it. Just about ordered one, but it's $500 Canadian and what do I really get for it that I don't have already with the Nexus 5?

I know the camera is better but for what I use it for, the N5 is good enough.

The battery is better and mine is long in the tooth but I just ordered a new replacement battery for $15. Plus, I have wireless charging, which the N5X doesn't and that alleviates a lot of my battery problems anyway. I have wireless chargers in my home, truck, and office.

The fingerprint scanner would have been nice but with smart lock enabled in the truck and at home I don't really need it.

If the N5X had been exactly the same size as the N5 and if it had wireless charging, I would have bought one.

Answered your own question. Not worth it, and it's a very big phone.

You're saying the 5X is a very big phone? I just don't see that. The N5X is a very average sized phone. Today most flagships are at least 5.5 inches, and even most mid-range phones.

Thanks. I'm not convinced.

Wish they'd have done a 6p mini. I'd have bought it at full 6p price too.

Might be able to wait until September for next nexus and hope....

But 4 years ago you and I would've said it's huge for a phone. If you were an adult at that time then your hands haven't grown. You're comparing it to everything else "these days", they're all ridiculously huge. It's a very big phone.

Possibly especially when you compare the bezels to the og Nexus 5 who was a very compact device for its screen display it being 5 inches and being smaller than many 5 inches even 4.7 inch devices like the iPhone 6/s Lumia 640 and even the HTC One devices. What would be the perfect size for you because going back 3.5-4.5 is so small and tiny

It's not the biggest phone, but it is a big phone, especially compared to my old Moto X 2013. Just because there are bigger phones doesn't mean the 5x is small.

Yes agreed completely!
