Most of the apps on my homescreen have disappeared ...help! 
They don't appear in the app folder anymore either.... including play store.
When I go into Settings> Application Manager I can see the apps under "Downloaded" but they are greyed out. In "All" there's a mix of the greyed out ones and the ok ones (mostly stock apps).
I used to have an SD card installed until a few months ago. Is the phone being tricked into thinking these apps were on the SD card? They aren't as they've been working fine for last few months.
I've tried flushing the cache at startup but no difference.
Phone is N7000 unrooted 4.1.2
