N8 is a Home Run

Have you guys seen all the reports of poor quality LG V30 Displays, as well as screen burn-in on Pixel 2 XL displays???

Our Note8s have been near faultless, I am so glad I got this beast. Display is bright, accurate and overall just so stunning 😁

I think the V30 display looks amazing. Samsung still holds the crowd though.

I didn't see any reports of Pixel 2xl burn in though

I had a transition period going from being a 9 year iPhone user to the Note 8, but I was motivated due to the staleness of the iPhone line. So far, I'm really enjoying it--especially the stunning quality of the screen. Additionally, the deals on the Note 8 are really good and put it well under the cost of an iPhone.

The only two things I would improve would be a fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen without compromising screen viewing quality and an option to buy a model with more storage in the U.S. market.

I still believe that Samsung & Best Buy will release the Blue version for Christmas. LOL

Yes, this is a very good possibility. My friend is a manager for T Mobile and told me that a Samsung rep told him they would be bringing the blue Note to the USA around Christmas.

my N7 never had a bit of problem with the battery and ran as cool as my N8, so the N7 was my best ever. I like the N8 a lot, but after more than a month it still hurts to hold it more than a couple of minutes because it's top heavy. N7 wasn't that way. great phone, though, the N8, just not a light phone or as balanced as the N7.
Yep, agree about note7 but I actually like the weight of note 8 - feels like I'm not trying to juggle a leaf

Having owned my Note8 for a month now I have no regrets leaving the iPhone ecosystem. I’ve been transitioning from my iPhone 6s Plus in making my Note8 my daily driver. The next step is parting with my Apple Watch as I pick up my Samsung Gear S3 from Best Buy today!

Were it not for the misfortune surrounding the Note 7 I would’ve been on board a year ago which was why I bought the iPhone 6s Plus with a promise that I’d buy the next Galaxy Note. My patience paid off and Samsung didn’t let me down! I still laugh about my buying an AT&T Note8 and returning it the next day, I didn’t give Android a chance. After returning it I was missing the Note8 all week, reading your encouraging, enthusiastic posts and positive reviews on AC. The following weekend I picked up the Unlocked version, swapped the SIM card from my iPhone 6s+! Afterward I felt like that wide-eyed little kid on Christmas morning who found one of the coolest toys under the Christmas tree!!!

I thought the battery capacity would leave me discouraged, but for my daily use and screen-on/media intense activity I still get a satisfactory amount where I’m not desperate to plug my Note8 into an AC outlet at the end of the day or the following morning.

Thanks to the Launcher Apps and the creative genius of an App developer I get to make my Note8 look like a JJ Abrams Star Trek-themed smartphone, something that Apple failed to provide me with on top of their ditching the headphone jack. Nice to have a smartphone I can personalize with even greater flexibility!

Having an Android phone is not without its trade offs having been part of the iPhone ecosystem for 9 years. Yet I’ve been experiencing more positive trade offs and confident I picked a damn good piece of kit with just as much capability and activity I’d been used to with an iPhone.

It’s a privilege to be a happy Note8 user with everyone here at AC! Enjoy!!!
Can you post a pic of your home screen.. I want to see your star trek setup

Big fan of the Note series. I had the 3,4, and 5. I didn't have a chance to get the 7. Just received my black 8. Just wow. This phone is amazing. I remember when I first saw the iPhone 4 in the store - and at the time, thought it was perfection. Felt great in hand, awesome build, and nice weight to it. This is how I feel about the N8. ( and still using my BB Passport for work )

My I suggest the tab S3

Thanks for your recommendation, I'll check it out and put in consideration. As the iPhone and iPad linked together, will I be able to link the note 8 and Samsung tablet as well? I.e. texting via the tablet instead of the note, etc...

Also, is the s3 tab the lastest tablet from Samsung... I see there's a handful of Samsung tablets, not sure which one is the newest one lol.

Where else can you comfortably feed your phone addiction in a multi-task form like this? I love the tall screen of the note! 8

I love splitscreening, and watching my movies in picture in picture. Favorite things to do with my Note. How'd you get YouTube in picture in picture like that? I have to use Awesome Video to get it like that.

Just swipe from the top corner of your screen when watching YouTube. It's called pop up view

See below in your settings

Works way better than all those apps that you have to send YouTube videos to to watch them in a similar fashion

What do you mean press hold? Haven't been able to figure it out
Got it to work, go to recent, once you have the app in front that you want to pop up, press the center of the window and hold a blue menu will appear in front that would say to pop up app place here.
