Naked One... Anyone?

I was tempted but just couldn't bring myself to risk it. I sometimes take the case off just to be reminded how nice it looks. I have the Diztronic tpu case from Amazon and it's the perfect size. No bulk and decent protection in case of a fumble or bump.

Exactly me, as well. The only thing I don't like about the TPU case I have is it's hard to press the volume buttons.

No case for 6 weeks or so.
No scratches on screen. No scratches whatsoever on the back. Only place where you can kinda see scratches is the chamfered edge, but that is to be expected.

I'm eligible forc upgrade, actually 2 if add my duh who don't care what gee uses lol
I'm thinking of HTC in conjunction with this phone and I know I'd have to use a case. If the phone lands screen first, I'd cry.
I'm a klutz, a mom and always multi tasking...
I would try for a see through case with a big lip...

Mine was naked until I dropped it on my tile floor. The back lower corner has a dent now :( wish I had put it in a case sooner. I am drop-prone.

No dents or scratches as of late when it comes to my HTC One. I treat my mobile devices like gold so I really have no need for cases or screen protectors. (Been using it naked since day one when it came out for T-Mobile)

1. How long have you been using the phone without a case?
2. Do you use a screen protector, if not how has the screen held up?
3. Overall has your phone retained any scratches, dents or dings?
4. Black or Silver & have you noticed any fading?

1. I had my Sprint one for about a month.. Now on T-Mobile with one from them. Both naked.

2. They have both been naked.. Fully. Not even a screen protector and the screen is holding up fine. I have a dedicated pocket (right one) that only holds my phone... Nothing else... So no chance of screen scratches or anything.

3. Phone is flawless. It seriously has no marks that you can find to tell it's used except for Pocket lint which is a easy wipe off.

4. No fading. Looks brand new.

Amazon easily initiated a full refund for me on the Sprint one since it looked perfect. I like to run my phones naked so I can enjoy the feel, especially with the HTC One's build, and I feel it's all about just being very careful with the device and not slinging it around. That way the phone stays looking good and I get to enjoy it out of a case.

1. i used the phone for 2 weeks before adding a case. i have had the phone for 3 weeks now.
2. no screen protector
3. none
4. silver, haven't noticed any fading

this is my first android phone. here in california, i have 30 days to return it if i want. i had blackberrys for years, and bought the Q10 when it came out. it was such a minimal leap forward in technology, that i returned it after a week and bought the HTC ONE. unfortunately, i spent $45 on a case and screen protector for my Q10 (for one week). so with the ONE, i wanted to be sure i was keeping it before wasting any more money. as things were looking promising in our relationship, i went to amazon and bought the black diztronic (awful name) case that is quite highly regarded. it took forever to arrive but did not cost me a fortune. i also bought another case with bear in the name of it. it was only $7 i think. that one didn't fit well or seem to provide much protection.

i am extremely careful with my electronics. but i know accidents will happen. the diztronic (awful name, really) gives me peace of mind. it adds grip and will cushion the device in the event of a fall. i don't care whether others can see the beautiful design of my mobile phone. i care that i can see a phone free of dings and scratches and (knock on wood) a cracked screen. i also care that a case add minimal bulk to an already large device. the diztronic (god that name is awful) provides that.

So given the beautiful design of the Htc one, how many of you are actually using your phone without a case and how has it held up?

If so, let me know the following if possible.

1. How long have you been using the phone without a case?
2. Do you use a screen protector, if not how has the screen held up?
3. Overall has your phone retained any scratches, dents or dings?

I've had mine for just over a month. I got it at Costco, and it came with a basic plastic case that covers the sides and back. Its not much protection however it provides good grip, yet still manages to show the beauty of the phone.

Obviously I'd love to run without a case however I'm worried about the above. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

HTC One - Unlocked, ARHD 12, Bulletproof Kernel, Several mods.
Nexus 7 - Cyanogenmod
Tab 2 7 - Cyanogenmod

I hadn't dropped my EVO, so I've gone with 'naked' for the one.
I've had my One since the first week of release
Zagg screen protector
No scratches or dings. Note: I'm a big boy and I only wear cargo shorts, so my phone has a dedicated, soft, pocket. No keys, no change.
Metal. No fade. No fatigue cracks like those original demo models (yay)

I did add a set of clear gel 'bumpers' to the curved side of the phone to keep the camera away from scratches and reduce the number of times i put my grimy paws directly on the lens cover.

I got Bodyguardz on my ipad mini and I loved it so much that I purchased something similar for the One, made by Skinomi. Not 100% naked but still looks like it. I keep it in the Seidio swivel belt clip.

Thanks again guys.

Great input. I do appreciate it. Everytime I take the case off I feel the beauty of the phone.

You guys are brave. I'm considering it on a trial basis :-)

HTC One - ARHD GE 2.0 / ARHD 12.1 Bulletproof kernel

Just be super careful if you do.. That's why I do with my phones. Firm grips always when pulling out of the pocket, don't fling around, etc. It's nice to enjoy a phone and not the case :).

Nude for 2 months, with only a slight scuff on the side from a drop incurred within the first fortnight of ownership. Since then, I've been much more careful - however the One has slid off the bedside table a couple of times now. Happy to report no further damage incurred. Since I've got it insured, I feel quite free to use the phone as I normally would. Without said insurance, I'm sure it would be encased and glass protected. And of course, the phone draws a lot of attention when I'm out and about.

3 months now! No case or screen protector. I could never cover this phone up. Gorgeous hardware and insurance ftw!

I used my Evo 4G for 3 years naked and never once dropped it. Like ever

I am probably willing to take my chances that I won't drop this one, but I might get something if it's very subtle and doesn't make the phone look bulky.

I used it naked for 3 weeks. I have a case now, this phone is very good naked other than the camera is flush with the back so laying it on its back ended up scratching my camera but doesn't affect the quality of the pictures. If anyone knows a solution to getting out small scratches let me know I read somewhere to use toothpaste but i don't know.

Yup, i have a screen protector on mine, its barely noticeable. I had the salesperson apply it for me and it looks flawless. Usually when i apply screen protectors myself, i can never get all the bubbles to disappear. But he did it perfectly for me.

I also used a case for the first few weeks i had the phone, i believe it was the incipio thin plastic case. But i took it off because i prefer the look of the One without a case. No scratches anywhere so far.

Running completely raw. No screen protector or shield. Own the black, slight scuffs on the back but not noticeable at all. Owned about 2 months. Had a case on it for a few days, but hated it, went back to raw.

I never leave home without my fully strapped otterbox! I wouldn't even leave my bed without this beautiful phone protected.
